Use Suki when EHR is offline

If your EHR is offline, you can still use Suki to record visits if a patient record is stored in Suki.

Written by Mark Van Winkle

Start from the schedule

If your schedule is loaded into Suki, tap a patient to view their profile.

Tap View All to view your full schedule.

Tap Start Ambient to begin recording the visit.

Search for a patient

If the schedule is not available, tap Search to find the patient in Suki’s database.

Type the first and last name in the search field. Tap the name in the list.

If you can’t find the patient then you won’t be able to use Suki with an offline EHR.

Generate a note

Conduct an ambient visit like you normally do.

Tap the check mark to stop recording the visit.

Choose Review Note so you can submit the note to your EHR when it is back online.

Send the note later

The orange dot indicates that the note is unfinished. Tap the note to open it.

You can edit content and add ICD-10 codes.

When the EHR is back online, send the note.

If you searched for the patient instead of selecting them from the schedule, then you’ll have to copy/paste the note using Suki web because there won't be a linked encounter, and Suki won't be able to submit the note directly.
